TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to makeup services provided by Makeup by Amy Maree to you. Upon booking a makeup application with Makeup by Amy Maree, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. 

PERSONAL INFORMATION

In order to provide the best service, Makeup by Amy Maree may request personal details such as your full name, telephone number, and email address. This information is not disclosed to anyone. For transaction security for debit and credit card payments, Makeup by Amy Maree uses “Square”.

It is required to notify Makeup by Amy Maree, prior to any scheduled appointments or trials, of any information relevant to allergies, health conditions, sicknesses/infections, skin conditions, medical and/or sensitivity issues. This is to guarantee that any reactions are prevented. Makeup by Amy Maree cannot be held liable for any reactions or losses that occur due to the client’s failure to inform them of any known condition/s.

Makeup by Amy Maree reserves the right to terminate a booking if at any time, for any reason the client/s or clients representative's behaviour, actions, or inactions causes distress to the artist. Rudeness and any type of abusive, immoral, inappropriate and threatening behaviour will not be tolerated by the artist.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Makeup by Amy Maree reserves the right to take videos and photos of you during the appointment for promotional or commercial use, only with your consent of course!

TRAVEL FEE/PARKING

All bookings outside of my Studio will incur a travel fee based on location. The client is responsible in the event that any hotel and street parking fees are incurred as a result of the location of the booking.

BOOKING FEE

The booking fee varies, based individual bookings or group bookings. All booking fee's are to be paid through bank transfer or square/square invoicing. The remaining payment options are direct deposit or cash. Your booking will only be confirmed upon a booking fee being received.

WHAT BOOKING FEES COVER

Booking fees are in place to secure your booking date and time. This fee covers the administrative and operational running costs of the business. This includes contact regarding booking details, invoicing, going over makeup looks/inspiration, and any concerns and advice.

BRIDAL BOOKINGS

All Wedding Makeup Bookings require a non-refundable booking fee to secure your reservation. A percentage of your booking amount is charged as a booking fee. Once we have sent an invoice to you, the booking fee is due 4 days after the date stated on the invoice. If for any reason you are unable to provide a booking fee, your reserved booking date will not be confirmed. Booking fees can only be paid to us via Square or direct deposit. Booking Fees will be deducted from your final total.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Wedding bookings will require a minimum of 4 people.

Final Payment: If you choose to direct deposit the remaining balance the final payment is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date, or cash on the day. Please notify me of your choice at the time of booking so I can note it on your booking. 

Cancellations/Changes

No reduction in the number of makeup applications is allowed after the initial quote is accepted. Any additional numbers, changes in location, or timing on the day will be accommodated where possible.

If for any reason you need to cancel your makeup application, please notify us as soon as possible. At that time, we will reschedule your booking to a mutually agreeable date, provided it is available. No booked services can be cancelled if a balance payment has already been made or if you notify us less than 30 days prior to your wedding.

However, we do understand unforeseen circumstances could arise without notice. We are then able to hold your booking fee and if possible, transfer your appointment to another date, provided it is available. In the event the new date is not available, no refund shall be provided as this initial payment covers business administration costs.

In the extremely unlikely event that I am very ill, injured, or have a family bereavement and I am unable to do your makeup on your booking date, all attempts will be made to send an alternative makeup artist to you, who will be fully briefed on your look & the products required. If this is not possible, I will give you a full refund of your booking fee/payment for the affected date only. Please note this is extremely rare and has never happened before.

SPECIAL OCCASION/EVENT/FORMAL BOOKINGS

A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your appointment. The remaining balance will be due on the day of your service via card or cash. If the booking fee is not paid, the appointment will not be confirmed or scheduled.

Appointments may be rescheduled if a minimum of 72hrs notice is provided to which the booking fee is transferable to a new date, at my discretion depending on availability and notice. Changes/Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit your booking fee as a cancellation fee. A new booking fee will have to be paid if you're wanting to book again.

No-Show Policy: For bookings held at Makeup by Amy Maree's studio you are required to be at your appointment 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. If you are running late please call me to notify me. Once your appointment has reached 5 minutes past your booked time, I will contact you. There is a 15-minute allowance to arrive after the scheduled time, however, after this time Makeup by Amy Maree reserves the right to cancel the booking. Any client that does not show up for their scheduled appointment will forfeit their booking fee and will be required to pay for any future appointments in full. The reason for this is to protect other client bookings scheduled for that day and to ensure their appointment times are not affected.

A percentage of your booking amount is charged as a booking fee. Once we have sent an invoice to you, the deposit fee is due 4 days after the date stated on the invoice. If for any reason you are unable to pay the booking fee, your reserved booking date will not be confirmed. Booking fees are non-refundable. Booking fees can only be paid to us via square or direct deposit. The booking fee will be deducted from your final total. The remaining balance will be due a week prior to your service via square/square invoice or cash on the day.
